Kogi State Commissioner of Information and Communication, Evang. Kingsley Fanwo has assured journalists in the State of a good working Jelationship with the State Government.
He gave the assurance when the executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Kogi State chapter, paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Fanwo who described the Journalist as a podium of strength in the State, said the government will always reckon with them and accord them their rightful position.
He explained to them the need for government to prioritize its limited resources on meeting its unlimited demands, but said, nevertheless, succour would come to them before the end of the coming month.
He also promised that the federal media outfits in the State would receive incentives for enhanced performance.
Fanwo said Journalists will be more involved in state programmes ahead especially the proposed online Kogi State Open Governance and Accountability Systems (KOGAS), a platform that would operate for more of journalism relevance in the State.
He promised to facilitate the release of an operational vehicle earlier promised the union by the State Government and fastrack the visit of the state executives to the State Governor.
Earlier, the Chairman of NUJ, Kogi State chapter, Comrade Momohjimoh Adeiza presented a working document by which the State Government and the union would work as a team to move the state forward
He solicited the assistance of the State Government in giving the press centre a face lift.
