We Are Committed To Lokoja Terminus Megs Park Takeoff – Transport Commissioner.

Report by Opeyemi Balogun

The Commissioner for Transport, Hon Joseph Okwoli has said the Ministry will not rescind on its commitment to move all vehicles to the Terminus Mega Park .

He made the the statement during his inspection tour to the Terminus Park with his Management staff.

He said having inspected the massive building, it has the capacity to accommodate vehicles with other activities taking place in the premises.

Recall that Okwoli had earlier met with the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers, kogi state chapter and other relevant stake holders to seek collaboration on the move.

In an interview with Channels Television, Okwoli said, the ministry will not fold its arms and watch the resources wasting away in Kogi state but it will swing into action to ensure that all abandoned properties are resuscitated and made useful for the good people of Kogi State.

He said movement to the Terminus Park will reduce the incidence of “one Chance” ,help in proper monitoring of vehicular movements, secure the lives and properties of passengers and decongest the high ways.

Okwoli, however, reiterated the ministry’s mandate to move all vehicles to the Terminus mega park whuch will take effect March 1st 2020.
