Hajiya Fatima Kabir Buba with the assistant director social welfare of the ministry visited some of the strategic places where beggars are usually sited, this includes the paparanda square, old market and post office areas of lokoja.

While in the process of sensitization the commissioner met a pathetic scenario of a mental deranged woman with a baby boy around paparanda square who happened to be from imo state, the woman by name ifeoma couldn’t disclose more of her identity.

During her conversation with the chief of the beggars Ibrahim Muhammed the commissioner was able to gather that most of the beggars are from Kano state while some are from sokoto state.

Ibrahim Muhammed pleeded that if provided with transportation they are ready to go back to their various states.

While the commissioner assured the beggars that the kogi state government is committed to find a possible solutions to all their request before been evacuated.
