The Commissioner for Youth and Development,Hon Idris Musa today met with the management and Staff of the Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO) in his office.
Hon.ldris Musa assured the management of YESSO of a good working relationship with the ministry, promising to partner with them towards the success of their operation in the state,he said the World Bank has done their part and that the state government will not relent in it’s effort towards the payment of the counter part funds.
The Commissioner described YESSO as one project that have touched the lifes of the vulnerable people in the grassroots.
Earlier,the Project Coordinator of YESSO,Mr Noah Alilu presented a database documents of all the beneficiaries in the twenty one (21) Local Government of the state, saying that the Youth are the real target of the project by the World Bank.
Mr Alilu praised the State Government for the prompt release of the counter part funds which has lead to the success of the project,he also stated that out of the fifteen States of the Federation where YESSO is domicile, kogi state is ranked as one of the best.
He further solicited for the support of the Ministry towards the project.
In her remark, the Director of Youth Development,Mrs Olayinka Arogbonlo thanked the management of YESSO and the and the Public Work Fare for their effort towards the reduction of poverty in Kogi State.
