The Kogi State Government has restated its readiness to always showcase the rich cultural heritage as well as developing tourist sites for investors to exploit.
The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon Salifu Isah Idachaba made this known while receiving the Deputy Director, Federal Ministry of Industry Tradesmen and Investment, Mallam Suleiman Mohammed in his office.
Hon Idachaba who said that Kogi State is not only blessed with tourist sites and rich in culture, but being the first natural headquarter of Nigeria during the European rule is a dreamland tourist destination.
The Commissioner reaffirmed his beliefs that if these potentials are harnessed, Kogi State is capable of feeding the whole country.
He then called on the Federal Government to create an enabling environment for the State to showcase their rich culture and tourist sites to the outside world.
Earlier in his remarks, the Federal Government delegate to the State, Mallam Suleiman Mohammed said his visit to the State is to liaise with the Ministry and get then prepared for the National Trade Expo will come up next year 2021 in October and see how best they would project the State.
Mallam Mohammed further encouraged the Ministry to get ready to participate and showcase artwork, tourism potentials and cultural exhibition.
