Kogi State Commissioner, Ministry of Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Sadiq Ohere has said work will soon commence on the Lokoja-SUBEB road.
Hon Ohere made this statement when he met with the management and staff of the Ministry on his first day of resumption.
The Commissioner who lamented the plight of road users in Lokoja Metropolis revealed that some critical roads that requires very high traffic will be maintained.
He pleaded that all hands must be on desk to showcase the productivity and value of the ministry that would in turn enhance the physical development and standard of living of the good people of KOGI state.
Hon Ohere, while expressing gratitude to the state government for his re- appointment, pledged to do all that is within his reach to restore the image of the Ministry adding that,action plans to enhance performance will soon be rolled out.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Acting Permanent Secretary, Engr. Chris Omera expressed satisfaction with the arrival of the commissioner and promised an unfettered and unflinching support through out his tenure.
He prayed that God will give him wisdom and good health to carry out his duties efficiently.
