The call was made by the Seniour Adviser to the Governor on SDG Hon.Nasir Isah Ohiani at a meeting with indigenous contractors and stakeholders in Lokoja.

Ohiani maintained that the call has become necessary owing to the fact that the present administration under the able leadership of Alhaji Yahaya Bello believed in competence deligience and professionalism. He stressed the need for them to adhere strictly to specifications.

He caution them to eschew shoddy implementation of the contract awarded as according to him the consequences for those who were found wanting in that regard would be dire. He said contractors who do not meet to expectations would be blacklisted and thered contracts would be immediately revoked.

Ohiani assured the contractors that the state government is sensitive to their plight stressing that measures are being put in place in ensuring that they are being paid their money.
Speaking on behalf of the indigenous contractors in the state, Mallam Usman Abdullahi thanked the state government for initiating the interactive meeting and pledged their unalloyed support to the government Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

In his vote of thanks, the Director of Admin and Finance in the Agency, Mr Molu Raphael Femi thanked the contractors for making it to the meeting inspite of the short notice given to them. He enjoins them to follow strictly to the laid down rules in carrying out their work.
