The Commissioner, Ministry of Commerce and Industry,Hon.Gabriel Olofu has tasked Dangote Cement Plc, Obajana plant to continue to contribute to the welfare of its host community and the state as a whole.
Olofu gave the charge on Monday when he alongside his management and legal team paid a familarization visit to Obajana Plant to discuss on factors hindering the apt growth of the industry.
He said the Ministry is saddled with the responsibility to regulate the industrial and commercial activities of the state.Stressing on the need to adhere to regulatory policies enacted by the constitution.
The General Manager, Human Resource Management of Obajana Plant Austine Maduike said that the key objective of the company is to enhance industrial growth in the nation. Adding that, the company is willing to synergies with the Ministry to continue to foster business in the state.
According to him “Dangote stands outs as far as Regulatory compliance is concerned and the company is working vigorously to develop the state economically”
The Commissioner while commending the state government for making provision for the visit said the state is fortunate to have such company in the state hence effort will be made to harness it to its advantage.
