Kogi State Government say all hands must be on deck to boost food production in the State, given the abundance agricultural resources in the State.
The Commissioner of Agriculture, Mr David Apeh gave the assurance when he receive members of National Initiatives for Sustainable and Climate Smart Oil Palm in West Africa in his office.
The Commissioner said the present administration is determine to give the agricultural sector the needed boost and assured the organisation that the Ministry would collaborate with them for improved palm produce in the State.
Earlier, the Senior Program Officer, Mr Ernest ita, says the organisations aim was to support and work with farmers towards sustainable climate smart oil palm production.
Mr Ernest added that it also build capacity of smallholder organisation and institutions to improve performance.
The program manager disclosed that also it support the development of mechanisms to operate in landscapes prone to deforestation degradation.
