The developemental strides ongoing at the College of Education Technical Kabba has been described as one that is geared towards making the College as one of the best in terms of quality of instruction and learning in the country as envisaged by Gov. Yahaya Bello.

 

The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Kabba, Hon. Wemi Jones made the disclosure while inspecting ongoing projects at the permanent site of the College, with a call for sustained efforts by the Provost and the Management not to rest on there oars.

 

Hon. Wemi Jones who was in the College for a working visit to inspect the levels of preparation and compliance put in place with the covid19 safety measures put in place ahead of the reopening of the College.

 

 

Hon. Wemi Jones lauded the efforts of the Provosts, commended the Provost in building the e- Library Extension, 300 capacity lecture hall, Construction of Business Education Laboratory Building, including offices and laboratory.

 

He described the Procurement of Education Laboratory Equipment for Business Education Laboratory, the Construction of Home Economics Laboratory Building including offices with work in progress at 70% completion as commendable.

 

 

He lauded the Procurement of various Laboratory equipments for the Home Economics Laboratory, Construction of lavatory block with Borehole, Steel Tank and steel Support under, as well as the purchase of some vehicles, described the present administration of Gov. Bello as one that makes education a priority.

 

The Commissioner commended the present administration’s love for education, disclosing that the administration has put in place lasting and solid legacies that would stand the test of time.

 

He assured that the present administration would not relent in given the needed attention to the educational sector, assuring that the College of Education Technical Kabba occupies a vital place in the heart of the Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration.

 

 

Earlier in a remarks, Mrs Victoria Olusola Jagboro, Provost College of Education Technical Kabba, lauded Gov. Yahaya Bello for turning around the educational sector, amidst scarce resources, described the Governor as educational friendly.

 

The Provost disclosed that the efforts to ensure quality of learning and infrastructure is in line with the directives of the present administration, assured that the Management would always do all it can to justify the plan for sustainable education.

 

She said in a bid to open up the college for Government intervention and partnering efforts is on to expand the revenue base of the College, through establishing a block molding industry for commercial purposes, Introduction of new academic programs, Affiliating the college with University for degree program, Part time NCE program, setting up Skill acquisition program for artisans amongst others.
