Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has been commended for appointing an illustrious son of Ibaji Local Government Area, Hon. David Apeh as a Commissioner in his cabinet.
The commendation was given by the Chairman of a non-governmental association, known as Apeh Network, Hon. Monday Ogwo at the reception organized to celebrate the appointment of the Commissioner.
Hon. Monday Ogwo used the medium to congratulate Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his deputy Chief Edward Onoja on their successful inauguration of their second tenure in office.
He said, the appointment of David Apeh did not come as a surprise to them as a people owing to his disposition and past records as an astute politician.
He enjoined the newly appointed Commissioner to bring to bear all his experiences over the years to carry the Ministry of Agriculture to a greater height.
In his remarks, the newly appointed Commissioner, Hon. David Apeh expressed appreciation to the State Governor for finding him worthy to serve in his cabinet, and reiterated his unalloyed commitment and support to the present administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, while promising to be a good ambassador of Ibaji people and Kogi State at large.
He urged Ibaji indigenes to be true sons and daughters of the land whatever position they find themselves and encouraged the people to live in unity with one another at all times and to key into the lofty programmes of the present administration.
