The First Lady Of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari has empowered the people of Kogi State with pumping machines and hair driers using her per project “Future Assured”, just as Kogi State First Lady, Mrs Rashida Yahaya Bello urges the people of the State to be hardworking and engage in gainful activities in order to make the State proud.
Mrs Rashia Yahaya Bello stated that the empowerment program was initiated by the First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari to eradicate poverty to a significant level and also to help the people understand the importance of skill development by utilizing their essential skills to assist themselves and others.
She further stressed that the empowerment will in-turn contribute to the increase in employability of the country and expressed her appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife for their love, support and care towards the good people of Kogi State.
In his remarks, the State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Victor Omofaiye appreciated Mrs Buhari for her support towards the people of Kogi State.
Mallam Suleiman Isah who is the President of farmers in Kogi State thanked the First Lady of Nigeria and the First Lady of Kogi State, Mrs Rashida Yahaya Bello for their support and prayed to God to continue to give them wisdom to lead the people
Also present at the event were the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Mrs Fatima Kabir Buba; Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Victor Omofaiye, Commissioner for health, Dr. Saka Haruna and all other dignitaries.
