Kogi State Government says it is committed to projects and programmes that will stimulate growth and development of the State

The Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Asiwaju Idris stated this during the 2021 Budget Stakeholders interactive meeting held in lokoja
The Commissioner who noted that the Stakeholders engagement meeting on 2021 budget, is purposely to create platform for deep conversations around the state budget, also said, it will assist in creating room for citizens to ventilate their opinions in respect of the application of the state scarce resources in order to ensure impact maximization .
He said in the last three years, stakeholders engagement has helped government to improve on processes which include public disclosure of documents on its websites as well as the Ministry’s websites.
Hon. Idris also maintained that documents hosted on the Ministry’s website include the Approved budget, Revised budget, Citizens budget and its version in local languages of Yoruba, Ebira and Igala, Audited financial statements, Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), Medium Term Sector Strategy ( MTSS) for nine pilot MDAs and quarterly budget performance.
While commending the Governor on his directive on stakeholders meetings and budgeting process be made an integral part of the annual budgeting process, the Commissioner urged participants to make good use of the opportunity and ensure that their priorities are shared as well as their thoughts which he said will help government improve on service delivery to the good people of the State.
Finally, Hon. Idris used the medium to join the good people of the state to heartily congratulate His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello, over the affirmation of his victory at the polls by the supreme court as the duly elected Governor of the State and told the people to continue to support the government of Alh. Yahaya Bello
