A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Onogwu Muhammed said the donation by the Dangote Group was to boost the state’s fight against all forms of crimes.

The governor called on all other private organisations in the state to toe the line of Dangote to assist the state in fighting crime as well as partnership in other sectors of the state.

He commended the Dangote Group for being a supportive partner of the state, assuring that his administration would continue to create the needed conducive atmosphere for businesses to thrive.

Bello said the gesture by Dangote would go a long way in helping the state to tackle security challenges.

The statement said the company’s Head of Transport and Logistics, Mr. Juan Carlos and the Chief Security Officer of Obajana Cement Factory, CP Abdullahi Chafe (retired), made the presentations of the vans to the governor on behalf of the Dangote Group.

Abdullahi Chafe, who led the delegation for the presentation of the vans, said the Dangote Group was making the donation as part of its corporate social responsibility in order to boost security in the state .

On his part, Mr Juan Carlos commended the governor for his efforts in fighting crimes in the state since he assumed power in 2016.

The first batch of five out of the 10 security vans were delivered to the Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in Lokoja.

The vehicles were received by the Governor’s chief of staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku Jamiu on behalf of the government.
